Why? Because of the ancient prophecy of the old Rao, which says: "The heir will fall to the shadow of the fallen kingdom." It means Jon, as the El heir, will be taken down or claimed by this ‘shadow’ from the kingdom they destroyed (aka the al Ghul remnant).
