I used the VRS on the opening day of the event to determine which teams were Top 10. For the major I used the VRS on the first day of Stage 3.

Here is a comparison between these players' Big Event WPA and their T10 WPA. frozen and MAJ3R are the two risers of the group while huNter and HeavyGod had the biggest drop offs.

Anubis this year at Big Events has a 57% T-Side win rate. That is just unreasonable and adding Overpass back brings much needed balance back to the map pool.

In an ideal world this would be 1 but there are some rounding errors and there's seemingly one(?) round at Melbourne where something is off but this is still a great improvement over what I had before.

Did a fix for WPA/R, the new R^2 value is 0.9964 which is much more in line with what I expected.

Fixed moving forward.
Probably should've said this sooner, but the WPA script I was using was a little inaccurate and I've been working on fixing it, I'll be recreating my previous posts based on it and developing some new stats based on it which alleviate some of the issues with WPA.

Final note, there is no ranking filter on this sample, these are all the players with 1000 rounds played at Big Events this year regardless of opponent. If you enjoy more advanced stats like this, consider following here and my substack:

What this means is while those AWPers don't cost you rounds, they also don't explicitly increase your team's chances to win as much as other players.
