As a patient it behooves you to understand this so you can be on a level playing field. Adults should rarely get cavities as the enamel gets harder throughout life making cavities harder to develop. Adults who have their teeth drilled keep needing those repairs repaired. Don’t

Thousands and thousands of children had their enamel polished with chemicals today to support a dental insurance jobs program… thank you for your attention to this. Zero prevention benefit beyond preventing the end of useless procedures in dentistry.

Decay takes around three years to reach the pulp in an adult tooth if no hygiene is ever applied and the decay is in an area that isn’t accessible to saliva or a toothbrush. How many “cavities” are diagnosed on the spot and appointed for next week? No money in watching… dentists
