Meet Opal Lee, the ‘grandmother of the movement’ who walked 1,400 miles from Forth Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C. in 2016 to draw support to make Juneteenth a national holiday. In 2021, President Biden signed into law and recognized June 19 as a national holiday.
