The government has announced the reintroduction of trainee minimum wage rates in a u-turn which will see first-year trainees paid £10.50 per hour. It comes less than 24 hours after @jerseychamber called for a policy “rethink”.

@stripe @GovJersey @DigitalJersey It all makes sense when you realise that CityPay, the only island Payment Provider, is owned by the husband of a sitting Reform Jersey Government Minister. who also has shareholdings in the parent company iVisum. That company is also part owned by JT, who are part of the JT.

So IoM have now got Etsy Payments and @stripe next. Jersey still in the dark ages with no Stripe or Etsy payment gateways for Digital Businesses. @govjersey and @DigitalJersey need to work harder on Stripe. Its now been 10 years of promises with no results. .

"It brought the town to life" ??. More like, it brought town to a standstill. Shops closed, Banks closed, roads closed, diesel pollution from farm tractors doing 2mph, lack of safety at the edges of the road, and still 4 days later, confetti is still wafting across the roads

Imagine this. before you made a Facebook, or other social media post, the app would check your spelling and grammar and suggest to fix it before posting. Sounds like a great browser plugin idea if the apps wont do it themselves.
