Updated my single file, header only 2D Voronoi C lib (v0.8) with some bug fixes and also a new api to iterate over the Delauney edges. #gamedev #c #cpp #voronoi.

Something I wish the C committee standardized: code profiling and subsequent view. Yes, there are tools out there, but trying to standardize it is sooo annoying. Each implementaiton has their own quirks in initialization, updating etc. #gamedev #c.

The effect will be even more noticeable for larger character sets. Another benefit is that we can add/remove .ttf files at runtime to support different languages. We could also load the .ttf font from a device resource, further saving on download size. and more. .

More experiments moving our font renderer from an offline path to runtime generation. It will reduce build+runtime memory usage. Drawback: slightly longer load times. (~57ms for 4 fonts, generating 95 glyphs each), but it also saves ~230kb in the small example. #defold #gamedev

GitHub recently shipped a new Actions UI and it is a huge improvement. It's visually more pleasing but it's also way less laggy when viewing jobs with large amounts of output. Whoever did this, please do large PRs next, you're amazing. I'm an equal opportunity critic. I talk a.

I find it funny that people think the Apple glass effect is extremely expensive or drains the battery. Demoscene people have been doing similar effects before GPUs existed on <5 MHz devices. If you launch those pixel waves, better put some instructions in them. .
