Here’s my bull case for STRs. The STR asset class is the most misunderstood. You can call it a real estate investment, but there’s more to it than that. You can also call it hospitality, but you’re not a full time hotelier. The truth is that it’s both. And in that way it’s

This is a pretty clever way to sell STRs that creates a lot value for all sides: - buyers - gives access to more STRs - sellers - allows you to get in front of buyers easily and quickly - agents - as a listing agent I would be an early adopter and as a buyer's agent I would

Is STR Competition a Zero Sum Game? I've been thinking unique Airbnb experiences (especially when drivable) aren't a zero sum game within a market Many homes are experiences in and of themselves and others enable new types of travel e.g. large homes for groups People will

Regulatory Arbitrage of STRs The biggest source of value in STR investing is the zoning permit that allows you to operate it as a STR. There are other ways to create value e.g. through operations, but this one alone can be worth 20% of the asset value or more. It can be

Amazing statistic about Airbnb hosts. Unlike many other asset classes that are dominated by Wall St, billionaires, and large institutional investors, STRs are by and large benefiting small individual investors and real estate owners.

Hard hitting journalism from the LA Times about Palm Springs home price "free fall" after STR cap "why can't people get the STR premium without having STRs" "why LTRs aren't as lucrative as STRs in vacation markets" cc @rohindhar
