my attending felt guilty (she never could have saved this patient, but she'd been slacking off all day, she wasn't focused and she knew it) and basically projected all of it on me. an awful woman who treated every resident like shit. so glad she left the hospital ngl

never forget when that happened with one of my patients (came in rather fine, wasn't prioritized, exams came back promising, then she died) and the attending blamed ME with literally no valid arguments. nurses tried to comfort me and reported it to the chief attending, thank god
