I tell you what @joncoupland if you want engagement, bring an old Range Rover back to Padre on a breakdown truck.

I have a list of tips and tricks. Some great pointers and confirmation from him that everything else works. It seems the RR community has a similar camaraderie to the Saab one. He also owns a Saab. Top guy.

He gave me a load of information about the car. Is going to look out a list of jobs done in recent times. He was also a bit cross it had no documentation with it. The pack he gave included the original build sheet and sales invoice.

where he had got to with the car in 2024. It had a cooling problem and a head gasket replacement in July. However, he did think it should have been leak tested while hot and still suspects something wasn't quite right. It isn't.

Today has been an interesting one. A thread. The Rangey is insured. £250, classic, 3k miles. Great. I've also been able to get in contact with the previous owner from March. What a lovely chap. Essentially he had given up. He had spent thousands. He was generally happy with.

Day three. Range Rover ownership. Two of the coolant pipes had gone flat (vacuum). I had a moment of panic that a cylinder had pulled coolant in. I decided to pull the glow plugs and turn it over just to check I was wrong. I was. I tested the glow plugs while out. #BDXClub

You can't work on a Range Rover without a can of @BulldogBDX. Bonnet release, sticky lock mechanism. Someone said "Have you got any WD. ".I had to stop them and ask what water needed displacing on a day like today?.BDX was used instead.

Head gasket test. After 10 mins running, it's still blue. Not that then.

After a less than satisfactory drive home, she has had some of Uncle Albert's @diomyx1 applied. Neve snow foam, Lavare wash and Lega wheel cleaner tonight. Tomorrow will be plastics and glass.
