ASG viewership often comes down to length of the game. Audience peaks early while the biggest stars are in the game. Last night’s peak viewership (8.1m) was higher than in 24 or 23. Game then slowed way down in later innings but the higher peak is a good gauge of fan interest.
Fox drew 7.19 million viewers for MLB All-Star Game, down 3% from 2024, but up 3% from 2023 (which was the game's record low). Still easily most-watched All-Star event among major U.S. leagues. Even with the "Swing Off" closer to midnight, game peaked in 915-930pm ET window

Out-of-home viewing added more than 30% to the in-home audience for the Gold Cup Final as measured by Nielsen. It’s a likely foreshadowing of next summer. The out-of-home audiences for the Men’s World Cup are going to be something else.
The 2025 @Concacaf #GoldCup Final on FOX was the most-watched Gold Cup telecast in English-language U.S. history with 3.73 million viewers. The match peaked with 5.2 million viewers from 8:45p - 9p ET.

The paradox of the business is that streaming has surpassed broadcast and cable combined *while also* marquee sports keep hitting multi-year or record highs on broadcast. Only makes sense if you think of Live and On-Demand as distinct businesses, as we’ve been saying for years.

This comparison is skewed by the fact that the equivalent races last season were all impacted by rain. Compare to the last running of each race not impacted by rain and the 18-34 growth disappears while 55+ is down almost -50%.
NASCAR on Prime Video vs. three equivalent races last season:. 32% in A18-34. 11% in A18-49. 21% in A25-54.-40% in A55+.-21% overall. Most TV properties will take that exchange. 18-34s don't watch TV, any growth makes up for steep drop in older demos.

While down in viewership, Prime Video’s median age gap for Coke 600 will be around 6 years younger (56 vs. 62) compared to Cup Series on linear TV networks (a gap similar to Prime vs NFL on linear last season).

Add the Derby to the list of events that have hit multi-year highs this year on linear+streaming: Super Bowl, Final 4, Masters, NFL Draft, Derby. Haven’t heard much lately about viewership for events exclusively on streaming. Where are those numbers?.
NBC drew 17.7M viewers for Sovereign’s Kentucky Derby win — the most since 1989 📈🐎. Saturday’s race peaked at 21.8M, a record for NBC Sports. Peacock’s stream also hit a high: 959K viewers, up 34% YoY.
