Thoroughly enjoyed @chinasa_anukam’s interview with @adekunleGOLD. It’s nice to hear the story behind some of his creative works.

The Federal Government must come clean with Nigerians. The quiet appointment of Xpress Payments Solutions Limited as a new TSA collecting agent is not an administrative decision, it is a dangerous resurrection of the Alpha Beta revenue cartel that dominated Lagos State during

With the mixed reactions, it’s clear that the movie resonates with the audience especially at a time when our country is riddled with multiple cases of insecurity. I hope it moves the narrative to a point where we understand that it could be any of us, regardless of class, tribe

I enjoyed watching The Herd 🎬. It’s a great movie and I’m very glad they did a good job with casting characters that know how to speak the language. They also managed to cover different perspectives to the story. Halil’s betrayal of Sheik, ritual killing with the pastor,

My dad died three months after I got my first well paying job... One thing that kept replaying in my mind afterwards was that he didn't even eat my money. But since then, I have learnt. Even if na 1 million my parent or siblings need, I will do my best while I am alive.
That part of David Oyelowo talked about his timeline grief during the @afropolitan podcast was so deep and relatable. It’s very sad that the ones who invested so much into your life may not get to reap the fruits of their labour or even witness it. It’s a special type of grief

My late dad always wanted me to be a medical Doctor. He couldn’t make it to my graduation ceremony, but promise to attend my induction. It’s sad that he didn’t get to see my graduation and will not witness my induction too.

So so painful. There’s a deep sadness that comes with every accomplishment because the person who spoke greatness into you isn’t here to witness it. It’s a hole that can never be filled

David Oyelowo's mother lived in one bedroom in Lagos with 5 people. Dreamed of her Mercedes for decades. Got a brain aneurysm the day they moved into their Hollywood home. She prayed Selma into existence. Never saw him become MLK. This is timeline grief, when success arrives
