RIP John White, composer. He wrote Wut for George W. Welch in 1987, around the same time as this photo. We played various other pieces of his, often in arrangements by Ian Gardiner @LoneArranger2

Very fond memories of Jan, here in Cornwall in summer of 2008. A wise and brilliant friend. ‘Dutch Type’ was a game changer in publications about type. We will miss you @JanMiddendorp

Last day of ‘Anthony Hill: 5 Decades’ @Annely_Juda today, an epic opportunity to reappraise an artist who was central to modern art in Britain. ‘A bridge between the avant garde and the neo-avant garde’, said Hans Ulrich Obrist in this panel discussion:

This was huge fun: Dawn Ades and @hansulrichobrist joined me for a discussion of Anthony Hill and Redo, in among the works in @AnnelyJuda exhibition ‘Anthony Hill: 5 Decades’. Still a couple of weeks to see the show too.

Very sad news of Alastair Brotchie’s passing. A good moment to think of the continuously ascending scale he provided for the run-off groove on Buzzcocks’ Another Music in a Different Kitchen.
