Are girls being designed out of public spaces? Public spaces are made to serve us all, but if the needs and wants of girls and young women are not considered in the process, how inclusive can this space really be? #research #urban #design #LSEResearchForTheWorld

There's a lot of interest in what's happening in the rental sector ATM. In Australia, we have a great big (n=15,000 households), accessible dataset describing the rental sector. You can access it via https://t.co/2BXdKefzQi (and🙌news🙌the bigger 2022 dataset will land soon)

There's been a significant pile-on on the Australian Diamonds after Gina Rinehart's Hancock Prospecting pulled out of a $15 million sponsorship deal. But as Tony Armstrong explains, there's also a conversation about the mining billionaire we need to have. #TheProjectTV

15 minutes into @MagdaSzubanski #NationalHealthCheck and LOVE the emphasis that it’s not solely individual behaviour that impacts health - it’s where we live, work, play & learn. Great to see @SandroDemaio & @mtdavern in action too! @ABCTV #healthpromotion #socialdeterminants

What happened to taxis at @MelbAirport? @Uber paid $60M for access to 75% the frontage of the airport and taxis are hidden right around the corner. I’m not paying 300% extra on Cup Day for a company who avoids tax! Fairs fair bring back taxis

I was pleased to work with @UNHABITAT colleagues, plus @RMIT co-author Todd Denham, on this evaluation of the National Urban Policy Programme. While NUPP is supporting many countries to strengthen urban policy, greater national level political will is needed to ensure success.
