They’re dual main characters to me. We experience the world through Kris, but we learn about it alongside Susie. Both have individual actions that affect the plot and other characters the most. Kris is tied to the story’s tragic past, while Susie is tied to its hopeful future.
"people only say Susie is the "real main character" because she's experiencing the dark worlds at the same rate as us, mimicking the player. kris has that prior experience and mimics our current "if only she knew" vibe that you can only get on replays, possibly for every chapter"
