@ViciousWood @_JessicaDavies @StoatlyL OK Jack, step back a moment. Have a think about how scary it is to be approached by someone who can easily overpower you on a dark lonely street. Most men do not become violent when rejected. But some do and there’s no way to know which is which. Also your racism is showing.

My friend went out for a run alone at 5pm so it was pretty dark. On her run a man came up to her, said he was losing motivation on his run & joined her. He followed her down lanes and around dark routes. Do men just have no social awareness whatsoever or is this on purpose? 🙃

@_JessicaDavies @StoatlyL Would this man have run alongside another man uninvited? Would he have asked a man to help with his ‘motivation’? I suggest not. This man was coming on to your friend and she was right to be concerned.

@mskatestafford @_JessicaDavies @StoatlyL Coming on to a woman should not be a "cause for concern".

@ViciousWood @_JessicaDavies @StoatlyL You’re right, it shouldn’t be a concern. But it is, because if a man approaches a woman and gets knocked back, he can become aggressive: this has happened to most women. If this happens in a place where there are no other people around, it can have deadly consequences.

@mskatestafford @_JessicaDavies @StoatlyL Nope. Men who get aggressive when "knocked back" are a tiny minority, or a "cultural enricher" most men (looking to get laid) can absolutely handle rejection. How do you think it goes out there for men with the confidence to approach women?
