My first big screen encounter of Robert Redford was as Johnny Hooker in The Sting at Easter, 1974. Dad strategically gave me a football sized Easter egg to keep me quiet during the movie. I fondly remember Marvin Hamlisch’s ragtime music score. The Entertainer was a big hit. RIP.

After #MarchForAustralia thinking about family history that shaped us. My grandfather born 1889 (!) brought life to NSW outback as a specialist water borer. Dad joined the Army 1942 age 18 to see some of the world and fight evil. I’ve been blessed by their courage and loyalty.
