Was at a meeting in our board room yesterday and noticed this sign and thought “wow that would be an amazing real life connection to context clues!” So here is my creation we discussed to open class today…. Can you infer what an EGRESS is? 💭🧐

Another amazing House Day at Furr last Friday!💙💚🧡💜❤️ Our students learned all about gratitude!! Our incredible House Helpers jumped in to support classrooms and the energy was off the charts as everyone cheered on Chanya as they were the winners for October! Way to go Chanya!

There is a simple power in having kids write and then share! I saw so many kids adding sentences after others shared to make their piece of writing better! We are going to be amazing writers about reading very soon! 🔜

We also started writing about poetry today using SPOs! And yes, we are writing in cursive! All the things!!!

What an amazing author’s visit from @marimancusi at @FurrElem! Our kids were so inspired and engaged! And I am happy to say my two copies of the books I purchased are not sitting on a shelf, but instead went home in the hands of eager readers!!!
