A huge shout out to the office of @CMRobertWhiteDC. Everyone who works in that office supports teachers. This is the second time they’ve gone out of their way to make sure @DCDGS completed a job for me! I am so happy to be able to safely lock my classroom now.

One of my favorite lessons for first grade is this camouflage art project! We read the book “What Color is Camouflage?” And learned some of the different reasons why animals might need to blend in.

Our class is raising mealworms as we learn about animal adaptions and life cycles! . Each child got 2 worms to raise, and name. My favorite name pairing is “Pringle” and “Chip”.
