Apparently it’s #nationaldogday . I just adopted a dog named Shea a few weeks ago. He is truly an amazing dog, so sweet and gentle. I decided to fence in part of my backyard (spent thousands), within one day Shea has made a mockery of my fence 😂😂. No remorse!.#SheaHatesFences

A1: I’m trying to buy a house now. so everything financial about me is being algorithmitized (what’s the verb for this?) to determine what I can afford. It has forced me to care more about my ratio credit score than I want to admit. I don’t want to be reliant on this number.

Used a version of a thanksgiving Desmos from @cmmteach and then adapted by @kathyhen_ . My students wrote messages of gratitude to faculty and staff and I compiled and sent them out today. wow. It was the best possible ending to this week.

F2F school starts tomorrow. Important reminder that many students are coming in with trauma from the last few months (COVID and the social injustices/racism in our country). Be understanding, thoughtful and a good listener.

Is this the reason that students have math anxiety? Because they can’t ask deeper questions without being met with negativity and shame?? The origin of math is incredibly interesting and we don’t spend enough time allowing kids to explore. There are connections to be made.
