More than 500 athletes participated in #HDSB’s 37th Annual Special Athletics Track Meet June 14🏅. The event included basketball, soccer, bowling, obstacle courses, bean bag toss and sensory stations.

Our kindergarten to grade 4 classes are taking part in an obstacle course challenge today.

🏳️‍🌈For #PrideMonth, the LGBTQ+ Alliance baked cupcakes and cookies to share with the school community. They also created an informative video to play during homeroom, addressing stereotypes and stigma faced by the LGBTQ+ community. I'm proud of their thoughtful advocacy. 🏳️‍🌈

Newton's Challenge #2 is underway! Utilising some unconventional thinking & resources from past competitions, the upcoming challenge combines students ability to code, work as a team and their understanding of simple machine to compete in a unique hybrid of soccer & basketball!

#AI & #STEM day @VSAHKG was a smashing success. A great collaboration between so many people! Over 1000+ students, parents & teachers, participated in a ‘Choose Your own Adventure Story” where they were promoted to use building materials to create!

“Mr. Hendrickse there is no way we’re going lose our gear train was able to pull 4 iPads!” …..they lost 😂 My favourite part after the shock of defeat was the inquiry: How did they use their knowledge of Forces & Motion to win the 1st #NewtonChallenge?
