Early in the year parents receive an email about grades & course rigor in my class:. 80% = proficient.90+% = above grade level. All kids aren't 90+% students. My learning environment gives students a true representation & motivates them to become best version of themselves.
This will probably ruffle the wrong feathers but it needs to be said:. A lot of parents say they want rigorous schools but don’t want what that actually means in practice. Nightly homework? Sometimes bad grades? Stress? To be told that yes your child did disrespect their teacher?.
