Here’s my suggestions:
- Not entirely a romance novel but beautifully written with WW1 as a backdrop - All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
- A coming age novel about a gay writer kn his late 40s - Less by Andrew Greer
@tepokdion
- A beautiful love story set in 70s Istabul - The Museum of Innocence by Orhan Pamuk
- A novella about a girl wanting to fall in love set in Beverly Hills - Shopgirl by Steve Martin
- A nonagenarian experiences a night of wild sex with a virgin. - Memories of my Melancholy Whores
@tepokdion
That last one is by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, btw.
One of my favorites, not a romance novel but still delivers the feels, is this short story by Ken Liu, The Paper Menagerie. I think you can find copies online if you try to search it.
Enjoy, bai.
