Remember when everyone used to insist that this was impossible because of the beauty of UAC. This is giving me way more dissonance than "Microsoft ❤️ Linux" or buying GitHub or whatever

It is so unbelievably fucked up to me that iOS still doesn't have ubiquitous ⌘-F. What kind of computer can't find fucking text that's literally right in front of your eyeballs.

weird software glitches: macOS + synergy + firefox + PiKVM web viewer: shift key works (meaning shift + x is X, shift + 1 is !, etc) macOS + synergy + safari + PiKVM web viewer: shift key doesn't work (meaning shift + x is just x, shift + 1 is just 1, etc)

Hmm, actually I can just wait for the next version, looks like other people are doing this too and Docker does want to support it. Bullet dodged :)

Description In version 4.26.0, the bundled linuxkit kernel lacks support for the vfat filesystem. It's not available as a module neither. This change is not mentioned in the Changelog. This is ...

Was really hoping to avoid maintaining builder VMs. Dang.

Container tooling really is great, especially on non-Linux platforms. There's no equivalent as easy as "docker --volume..." with say qemu, and while I have some nitpicks about how Dockerfiles work the utility of standardized image builder files is very good.

I was very happy to realize I could build bootable disk images inside of Docker containers, but this turns out to be very fragile. Linuxkit has removed vfat filesystem support so you can't mount an EFI system partition, for instance. Maybe I have to just build with real VMs.

The @feedbin Fixable Feeds feature is REALLY GOOD. I am subscribed to almost 900 RSS feeds, almost of which post less often than once a month, several of which have moved without a redirect.

Annoyed that the Twitter API v1 deprecation broke my twarchive project, which was able to download tweet data for permanent archiving. I see that nitter is working again, maybe I can adapt what they did... https://t.co/4J2rdnP6wF

You know what's great is that while we DID get this with https://t.co/g7sBvVVfWc, we are ALSO getting a webassembly Flash emulator in Ruffle https://t.co/nV7hsKnY2R, used by e.g. the NYT

Let's just accept the horrible truth: literally the only way Flash will ever be brought to HTML5 is by WASMing an entire copy of Windows XP containing an entire copy of Firefox containing an entire copy of the Flash plugin. This is our fate. Nothing we can do will prevent this.
