If you have to have a journalist with the same name, this one will do very well: It’s an honor to very occasionally be mistaken.

As Portland officials have decried the @Oregonian’s finding that 52% of all arrests in the city are of homeless people, the number of homeless people booked into jail has continued to grow each year: My last story for @Oregonian published this morning. https://t.co/153BY49ajP

I had the satisfaction of taking apart and finally fixing my vacuum cleaner. I had the dissatisfaction of having a package stolen off my porch. But my satisfaction returned with the image of the thief opening up the envelope and finding only a $2 vacuum cleaner filter inside.

@bethnakamura A deep bow to @maxoregonian for her meticulous reporting on these incidents over 17 yrs. Her extraordinary journalism formed the backbone of this analysis. When it comes to police accountability reporting in Portland, Max Bernstein is peerless.

Check out the byline. The indispensable ⁦@bethnakamura⁩ not only photographed Friday’s protests but wrote the story. She’s the definition of hustle.

So grateful for reader messages like this, esp today: 'Those of us that complain that we can’t get a haircut or that the line at Fred Meyer was out the door need to read this one again. Rest In Peace, Mr. Goodale, and thank you for your military service.'

Why has it taken until now for the state to acknowledge so many #coronavirus coronavirus deaths at Oregon senior care homes and step up its response -- six weeks into Oregon's outbreak? If @FedorZarkhin hadn't pushed, would we even know? https://t.co/42N1jyUZgs
