And then…completely unannounced…Duncan made the journey to Blackpool and has turned up at Paul’s funeral this afternoon…the family are completely overwhelmed and it has provided them with so much comfort and solace. Thank you Duncan. 💙

Reached out to Big Duncan Ferguson to do a tribute to play at today’s funeral of Paul Reilly, 70 years young & a massive Evertonian from Blackpool. Paul’s idol. Not the first time Duncan has done something like this for others. Countless times. A big man with a heart of gold. 💙

In Cafe de Galles off Wrexham high street this morning for a beautiful pre-match full ‘Welsh’ breakfast. The place is packed with local folk all talking about their club and today’s game - there’s huge pride in their town and football club once again.

Just a quick edit…this week’s tickets have gone to a young local Layton man who recently lost his mum and he is taking his dad, only 57, who is also battling bowel cancer. People are fighting fires and battling battles we have no clue about…we hope they have a great day. 🧡

Ten years ago this morning, we lost this really good man, far too soon. We thank him for his unwavering service to the community, friends, family & to his beloved Blackpool FC. He was not meant to live forever. However, he left a feeling in people’s hearts that would. 🍊

Today, 15 years ago, this is him celebrating promotion to the Premier League at Wembley with 40,000 others in tangerine. Next week it will be ten years since we lost him in the blink of an eye. The game can change in seconds, so smile, be happy, open your eyes, love & go on. 🧡
