Footage shows #Myanmar’s military regime conducting aerial bombings against civilians in Kayah on Sept. 5. From Sept. 4 to today, the military has bombed over 4 locations in ethnic armed group-controlled areas, killing more than 25 people, including children and a pregnant woman.

Wa troops entered Tanyang, northern Shan State, on July 10–11, their first westward move since the 2021 coup. With over 2,000 troops, they aim to prevent conflict spread. The UWSA, maintaining neutrality, is negotiating with the SAC.

The Arakan Army (AA) and the military council's conflict may soon make Thandwe the first Rakhine State city with an AA-occupied airport. This move could drastically change the conflict's dynamics and Thandwe's future. My commentary -

5/7 Just days before this, the military council and allied forces reportedly killed at least 50 civilians in ByinePhyu Village, Sittwe according to an Arakan Army press release. In the past week, at least 110 people have been killed in the northern and southern parts of Rakhine.

4/7 Singaung Village, located at the delta of the Thandwe River and overlooking the Bay of Bengal, was heavily bombed. The village is a significant hub for people from northern Rakhine State and other regions, many of whom work in the water industry.

3/7 A resident who visited the village this morning shared on social media that more than 60 people were killed, and many others are unaccounted for. The village is now devastated, forcing all inhabitants to flee.

2/7 The assault, involving naval firing, howitzer shelling, and aerial bombardment, marks the highest civilian death toll in the history of southern Rakhine State. Local sources report that the actual number of casualties may be higher.

1/7 An airstrike on June 4th and 5th has left a village near Thandwe Township in southern Rakhine State in ruins, resulting in at least 60 civilian deaths.
