"Moving slowly has been a Wikipedia super-power. By boringly adhering to rules of fairness and sourcing, and often slowly deliberating over knotty questions of accuracy and fairness, the resource has become less interesting to those bent on campaigns of misinformation" <- cool.
What's @Wikipedia's US election day disinfo plan? Our usual winning combination of lightning-quick brilliant editors and extraordinarily specific pedantry. It works for us! And most importantly, for you.

This blog by @TGyateng is a must read for those who work in #TechForGood, #OpenData & #civictech. "Neutrality where social injustices are present means a continuation & sometimes exacerbation of social injustice." https://t.co/G79iwqDHL8

Did I know that GDS had actually defined CSV-W as the standard for describing CSV data? Not sure I did, but this is excellent news. Well done standards people. https://t.co/r0ZyQz5thR

My local coffee shop pivoting to selling booze (as well as coffee) and having an online option for a 'big bag of cans' to be delivered is pure 2020 energy https://t.co/k8hmzINyjp

One of the actual best teams who have done astonishing things over the last year. Well done to you all at @ONSdigital (They also seem to be hiring about 50 people at the moment, so do take a look if you have the skills and want to make a difference in the world)
This year we have a special commendation which goes to the @ONSdigital team for producing content that is accessible, wide-reaching and informative. Here’s some examples of their fantastic work: https://t.co/4vqXPObI1L

Love this journalist who has seized the opportunity at this Mark Drakeford coronavirus lockdown announcement to ask about whether we should we ban domestic wood burning. Absolute agent of chaos.

It isn't standards day any more, but yesterday did remind me to go back and check in on a few things that once seemed like the future to me. I think, with the right interoperability with web search engines, IIIF might still be a great idea https://t.co/vEhve6B4fZ

Not not alarming, but this seems like a much neater set of messeging.

Standards are important. Obvs. On the web they are vital. Not everything has to use every standard, but if you want information to co-exist in a powerful way, describe it using the conventions of the web, not your organisation's or your own head. #WorldStandardsDay
