But I'm still not too concerned while I keep seeing Adobe proclaiming their "intent to acquire" and Figma is not quitting unexpectedly while I'm doing my work.

Worst case scenario: #XD and Figma are merged and all the freaking good work done by plugin makers that help us every day will go to waste - and a massive price will be put on personal licenses.

Best case scenario is that #Adobe will fully embrace Figma's vision and now there are more resources to speed up features that we requested for soooo long, like #native #designTokens

Of course, some tools make our life soooo much easier, like #figma does today. But they are never perfect, right?

If you are really into #DesignSystems you shouldn't be bothered about the latest shocking news. True design systems are meant to be platform and tooling agnostic.
