I know many of you are Force! Force! Force! Secret: AVG V w/ your VBT is not offering much force insight. In fact, these 2 reps reported AVG V of 0.74 & 0.73. However, look at the @movefactorx Force Sequence, clearly delineates a difference of force production between the

In sports u only get about 200 milliseconds to show power. Thats why we measure PoP-200 w/ trap bar jumps..tells us how quickly an athlete can produce force the difference between jumping higher, sprinting faster or winning a first step. Strength matters but speed of force wins!

Primo example of the MFX Velocity (left) & Force (right) Sequence visuals identifying the higher performing rep. Look at the Blue. AVG V was 0.74 / 0.73 PK V was 1.25 / 1.22 Concentric only data does not distinguish rep quality. Elastic Index 100 was 3.24 / 4.98 (blue)! 👈👍

"The trap bar jump at body weight (80kg) is honestly quite heavy. The maximum speed of 2.56m/s (rep 1) is impressive, but it drops off considerably for reps 2-3. Reflecting on it, considering the purpose, it might have been fine as an exercise for just 1 rep; I regret that I

体重分(80kg)のトラップバージャンプ、正直言ってかなり重いです。最大速度2.56m/s (レップ1)は大したものですがレップ2-3にはかなり落ちてしまう。 目的を考えたら1レップとしてのエクササイズでも良かったなと反省、追い込むスポーツではないのにトレーニングで追い込む必要はないと反省。

Movement Performance (energy): absorb + redirect + propulse. The Velocity Sequence instant visual is your indicator, focus on the Performance Zone (late ecc - early con)...0.2 secs & 0.4 secs of time, match the sporting task. < 1 oz of @movefactorx sensor on the waist does it!

Velocity Sequence tells the story — sharp late ecc into early con performance (even sharper minus ecc overload) The bottom of the V is the transition point. Programming strategy was basic/common sense. Focus was impacting Velocity Sequence zone. The big 1RM⬆️was a result, RFD.

340 to 405 lbs, that was Max's squat 1RM⬆️in under 8 weeks (Jan - Feb '24) I'm not a S&C Coach but I was asked by a local friend to help his son "optimize performance" His son, as a junior, just came off a state🏈championship, All State honors, committed to Stanford as a LB.

Truth is, there are much lower cost options than a force plate to get at valuable vertical jump feedback. Truth is, force plate products are vulnerable. Truth is, motion capture sensor (IMU) & marker-less (video) are the future for value vertical jump application.

If your response to a force plate is “I can get a vertical jump with much cheaper options” screams you don’t have the first clue what a force plate brings to the table.
