The scary part in BC is not many private land owners fully understand the implications of the BC NDP ideologies and land giveaway to First Nations… And without more public awareness, many are not going to realize it until they sell…

@mortimer_1 The cognitive dissonance is insane. I have a friend who is pro- radical reconciliation, and also a homeowner. I broke his brain when I asked him if he would be okay if he lost title to his property. He literally said "well I don't think that'll happen here."

@energyrotator Same with people who do land acknowledgments… ask them if they are saying they willing give their land away… blank stares ensue…

@mortimer_1 They don’t have to worry because the simple land is not in danger. I mean, tell me of a time that Indigenous people took land for white people. I can give you 150 years of history of white people taking Indigenous land.

@mortimer_1 It's a very serious problem. And the people in BC who we need to realize this the most are the ignorant boomers; and they often don't even sell until they're dead or heading to a nursing home, at which point their awareness is worthless anyway.

@mortimer_1 To buy land you have to have the underground scanned for minerals, or graveyards. It's getting to the point that it's all theirs and you just have to wonder why they think that? You could be living on a Reservation just like that!!!

@mortimer_1 It’s why we have just sold and are out of here. Some 80-90% of BC land is under these “oral narrative” claims which are propped up by Section 35.

@mortimer_1 Someone needs to make this their political crusade and inform the population of BC what’s really going on. The NDP gvmt will sleepwalk us into the extinguishment of private property rights.
