Putting tools I’ve developed over the past few months to good use. This is my Envelope Transform tool, applied to font shapes for some satisfying distortions. And hey, who doesn’t enjoy a good debug view? 😉

Just finished extracting vertex and bezier data from font files (thanks to opentype.js) and converting everything into my own geometry framework — with support for holes too. Everything’s now set up to start experimenting with physics-based deformation. Let’s see where this goes.

Working on a new design based on my Monograph algorithm, using my custom 3D prototyping tool. This one will be laser cut in 4mm birch plywood. Happy to have figured out separate edge colors — it really helps define the shapes.

Just ported my 3D prototyping tool from p5.js to Three.js. The switch boosts rendering performance and gives me better control over transparent materials and physically accurate dimensions.

Mitosis #290 and #344 changed hands yesterday. Originally released with @vivid_ordinals in 2024, it's always nice to see ongoing interest in the collection.
