In an exam room, you ponder awkward conversations about sexual health, emphasizing its importance, addressing gaps in medical training, and advocating for patient empowerment and education.

As women’s health funding ramps up, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind the medical community that menopause medicine needs to be the responsibility of ALL specialties, not just Ob/Gyn. It affects all organs. Women’s entire biology is not their ovaries.
I know we need mandatory menopause education and training for medical and healthcare professionals, but it is so important to get your medical and HRT information from a reputable menopause Dr and source, not a discussion group on FB!

Look at what happened to women’s basketball with proper investment in just two years. Next: women’s health 🚀

Things I needed to hear on match week: 1. You are much more than a match result. Your worth goes far beyond where an algorithm sorts you. 2. Whatever the result, you're still a worthy human being. 3. No matter what happens, take this moment to celebrate how far you've come.

Ramadan is quickly approaching and as an OBGYN doctor, I always get asked about fasting while pregnant. My goal is to make sure my patients are healthy but also following in accordance with Islam. Because of that, I created a resource for Ramadan in Pregnancy!

Just a reminder that if a primary team asks for your expertise as a specialist, they are not trying to burden you or send you an “inappropriate consult.” They are truly asking for your help, your support, & your expertise while simultaneously facing a mountain of other work.

Much love to all of my #Match2024 peers who will have to explain the Match, interviews, and why we won't know if/where we have a job for another ~4 months to all of our relatives this holiday season 🥲

Happy Thanksgiving to all the healthcare workers sharing this holiday today with patients
Thank you for the hands you’ve held this year. For your words of kindness & reassurance spoken. For your presence when someone faced hurt and vulnerability. Thank you for showing up. For caring. For bringing more love into this world. #HappyThanksgiving
