i recently showed one of the postdocs in our research group chtgpt's Deep Research feature and she was extremely surprised. she still thought that LLMs hallucinated citations because she had only used the default model options. it's shocking when you leave the bubble and realize.
the vast majority of american knowledge workers are not very good at working with LLMs and don’t have a great sense of what tasks are within scope of current capabilities. shocking.
