As many of you are aware, for the past few years I have had my character attacked by a dishonest, disingenuous cabal led by @tomburgis & @CharlotteLeslie. I have now set up a dedicated X account - @WHYaMErsi - where I will continue to expose their perfidious behaviour. Anyone.

Great to be back in Beirut where the New Lebanon is in evidence. May it last! Tom Barrack appears to have been a skilled diplomat and has more to show for his short time on the job in contrast to Steve Witkoff. From the part of Lebanon, a historic give up of arms from Hezbollah,.

I fell off my chair reading this. In most organisations 6 years would be the upper end of service before honorary officers step down to give way to fresh blood and new ideas. Otherwise these organisations face extinction. It would be so good if the Party.

Great to speak with @AkmaralBatalova on her very successful YouTube channel. We covered lots of ground: shifting world order, Iran/Israel, Ukraine/Russia and how we navigate through all of this towards piece. Watch on the link below:

Joseph Nye's passing made me think about what he coined 'soft power' and its waning currency among world leaders, spearheaded by Trump. In its place, we are seeing the emergence of a new hybrid: Technopower. @anapalacio and I explore that in our article:

Wonderful to see David Lammy on stage. Applaud for visiting 7 African countries. Focus to end the civil war in Sudan, promoting UK’s desire to invest in and not only donate to Africa, collaboration on technology, climate and migration. Deeply engaged in a calm and collected.

Just left Astana after attending a very thoughtful and timely Astana International Forum. Kazakhstan is a middle power. And the powerhouse of Central Asia. Like all middle powers it is trying to ascertain what this means for it in a changing world order. For now, under the wise.

After a short debriefing stop in the UAE, I arrived in the early hours of the morning to attend belatedly the Astana International Forum. I haven’t been back to Kazakhstan for a while following my advising on groundbreaking deals in the telecom sector so it’s very good to be back.
