3) In August, Kalifa was in Hawaii covering the wildfires. "It requires a sensitivity to visualize the experience of those individuals and make it relatable. For me, the camera is a powerful tool for empathy."

Today on Connections at 1:00, we talk about the history behind hundreds of unmarked graves in Mt. Hope Cemetery and Highland Park. A new memorial will honor the lives of these people; many were residents of the Monroe County Almshouse, Penitentiary and Insane Asylum in the 1800s.
