With the start of the #hlinkagretzky cup the 2025/26 draft season is officially underway. Here below you can find our pre-season Top 20 for the #2026nhldraft.

At first glance, that's looks like the roster that could have been expected for Finland, pretty much. So, unless I am forgetting someone, no real surprises or prominent players missing due to injuries. #HlinkaGretzkyCup.

It's worth noting Carolina traded down to acquire multiple picks, passing on the chance to select #Ryabkin earlier just like other teams, so it's not like they wanted him badly. Just taking a flyer on him at this point, which is obviously the smart thing to do in my mind. #Canes.

And of course is the #Canes landing Russian C Ivan Ryabkin, who somehow dropped all the way down to #62 despite being way more talented than most players selected before him. #RaiseUp #NHLDraft.

and in general dry up when he doesn't have ice available where to skate, making a few too many errors in those situations for his type of player. I doubt he will ever develop offense, but those mistakes hurt his D-zone reliability as well. Pro potential is there though [2/2].

I like that Saari can get physical on opponents in the D zone, I like his skating and his ability to lead the breakout when he finds space, but his puck carrying ability and overall game with the puck dry up at the red line. [1/2].
