I remain devastated by this. It appears all consider it disrespectful. We have all been through enough. The @EFL have let themselves down and misjudged this entirely. As a reminder your officials wanted the game to continue whilst my Dad was having CPR. Have some dignity.

We are devastated with this decision. Given the impact on the family, seeing the game being replayed is heartbreaking 💔 @EFL @LincolnCity_FC.
Following the tragic passing of life-long O's supporter Derek Reynolds at Brisbane Road and the subsequent abandonment of the fixture versus Lincoln City on October 3, Leyton Orient can confirm that the fixture will be replayed in full. #LOFC #OneOrient.

This is correct. Lincoln didn’t push for the replay. It was an EFL decision. Same organisation that believe a medical emergency on the touchline shouldn’t see the game stopped despite hindering paramedics (don’t get me started). Good luck to Lincoln for the rest of the season.

@RichieWe11ens @RichieWe11ens I spoke with the @EFL yesterday who stated that sporting integrity was the most important factor in all this. Despite their initial comms stating the views of both Clubs would be a factor they decided to blaze their own trail anyway.

I guess football is more important than fans. And my Dad. It’s devastating to everyone. But they don’t care. It’s only a game @efl.
Only the @EFL could reach a decision that pleases nobody. Restaging the entire game feels disrespectful to the memory of Derek Reynolds, adds extra financial costs to both sets of fans and disregards the 'integrity of the competition' they claim to want.

@WalkRunLift @EFL You’ve already listed two of the more preferential options. Appreciate something needs to be done but replaying it is the most painful and disrespectful. Erasing the last 84 minutes of his life and removing from history books notwithstanding the Family having to endure it again.
