Building a well designed MCP server is an art. In the MCP community, it’s increasingly described as “tool ergonomics”, designing MCP tools so that an LLM understands how to use them. Running evals is the most effective way to measure, iterate, and improve these ergonomics.

Been playing with MCPJam, easily the best visual MCP testing tool I’ve tried! Definitely got some feedback like I wish I could see a formatted version of the responses, but overall kudos to @mcpjams for the great work.

Progressive disclosure might replace the need for MCP Anthropic recently released Claude Agent Skills, a way to bring additional context and tooling to agents. It uses a progressive disclosure technique, progressively discovering new context and tools rather than pre-loading

We released an update on MCPJam to view MCP client-server communications at the JSON-RPC level. This is like the Chrome network tab, but for MCP. Debugging your MCP server at the JSON-RPC level provides visibility into every request, response, and error exchanged between the

We launched support for Apps SDK on MCPJam inspector beta! We’re excited to share that we built Apps SDK testing support inside the MCPJam inspector. Developing with Apps SDK is pretty restricted as it requires ChatGPT developer mode access and an OpenAI partner to approve
