#TheBookofHopes is a free online book edited by Katherine Rundell. It celebrates resilience and positivity in our changing world. After reading Katherine's wonderful introduction, I put together a creative writing prompt so that our students can create their own Book of Hopes.
We're so excited to announce #TheBookofHopes, edited by Katherine Rundell! A joyous collection from over 110 children's authors and illustrators. Dedicated to our hospital workers, you can read it in full for FREE through @Literacy_Trust from Monday! ☀️ https://t.co/6DPFms2tCR

This week’s Home Study Tip of the Week is to find a quiet, dedicated room or space to study. Switch off anything which may cause a distraction. That means no facebook checking! Airline mode is your buddy here, and if you need a little added pressure to focus, a countdown timer.

Our library is sadly shut for the time being, but this is just a reminder of the reason libraries exist in the first place. We do what we do for the love of people. For the love of their stories. For the love of our readers. For the need to connect with others. #BooksConnectUs

Congratulations to the top three (well, four) forms who have read the most over the last half term. Particularly proud, as I teach 7DOR and 7ASC! Keep up the good work my keen readers. • #librarylife #proudlibrarian #proudteacher #readinggoals #wordmillionaires

This morning’s Year 7 assembly celebrated how important @TheMisbourne believes reading is. Ms Weller, @MisbourneHead and Mrs Hallesy from Friends of The Misbourne handed out our #bookbuzz books to expectant students. It was lovely to hear the excitement; the buzz was palpable.

🚨 Don’t panic! 🚨 Mr Baxter, Miss Popoola, Mrs Smith and I spent the last three days of term doing our first aid training. We have grasped the recovery position, monitoring breathing and performing CPR. Hopefully we never have cause to use this but just in case... #BePrepared
