I always find myself drawn to listen for a few minutes as I attempt to rush around the building in the morning.

I love teaching 8th grade because I don't get the end-of-year doldrums. June is when the energy and urgency ramp up for me. There's a bit of healthy pressure to enjoy every moment.
This is the time of year when we grow tired and start to question the difference we are making. Don’t. Do. It❣️Trust the seeds you are planting and know that even and especially when you are tired — what you do makes a difference to so many. ☀️

We reach a point every school year where I spend less time thinking about the present and more times making plans/setting intentions for next school year. It is nice to be excited about the future and feel fond enough about my students to embrace the present, too.
