Traveled now 1400km on my BYD SEAL! From Yamaguchi to Tokyo And frankly speaking - 0 range anxiety. Charging and stops were almost painless. One bummer is that charges are far from restaurants Infrastructure on service areas in Japan is more or less ready for EV trips

I really respect @PowerX_JP. I had an issue with my charger, and their support got back to me super fast. Once they checked it out, they sent me the follow up. If you’re an EV owner in Japan, I totally recommend PowerX.

By the way, it’s been over a week since I reached out to @BydJapan regarding the issue with the dealer who wants to charge me more than $100 just for the initial fee. I haven’t received any responses or comments from them.

One thing that really bothers me about my BYD Seal so far is the cruise control. More specifically, the cruise control buttons. Why is the short click for + or - 5 km, but the long click for + or - 1 km? It should be the other way around.

I find it fascinating how Rolls Royce manages to make this 5.4-meter car appear elegant rather than like enormous limousine.

Unexpected discovery - “Fans Only” mode on EVs gives you a pretty good boost in range. Now in winter when it’s sunny and the car is warm I use this mode and the consumption lowered significantly. From December 13th. BYD seal Awd

YOOO. Came today to BYD dealer in my city(BYD, FIAT, JJEEP in one)to calibrate TPMS and they've asked for $116 initial fee, just because I'm a first timer. Bought my car from official dialer in a different city. WHAT?! Even in Audi I didn't have it.

If you ever wondered, could I fit 4 rims and 4 tires in a BYD Seal, YES YOU CAN!

Got my BYD Seal with 360km and now already 2077km, in less than 2 months! It became colder and the consumption raised quite a lot.

My charging journey with BYD in Japan continues. Long story short, my 2024 BYD Seal refuses to charge stably on 150kwh chargers like PowerX or TEEMO. Official response from BYD is - We tested the car with eMP chain and it’s our partner, any other is not our concern for now.
