and shipping becomes boring when you bring the people into it. dnp not revealing the details of their relationship is most importantly to protect their privacy but it also doesn’t matter rps isn’t invasive unless you make it invasive and unfortunately many people don’t get that

I don’t feel ashamed for writing rpf even if the people were to come across it bc I know i’m not writing it for them. I don’t care about so and so saying ‘mnsng kiss’ bc it makes no difference to me or my work. i’ve read so much rpf about straight married men and not cared

but then you have so many people commenting ships on unrelated posts or specifically sibling’s posts. they are breaking the bubble of containment bc they think it is funny or ‘just a joke’ and it just shows they don’t view ships as people but content

lots of things dnp mentioned in the new video are so interesting. I think the invasive element of rps is an important topic that keeps coming up. Most people who write fics or engage with authors as well as fics seem less likely to mention shipping outside of the bubble
