Our friend Mabel from @TCRWP lessons helped my kindergartners learn positional words. Today we created a class video w/ @Seesaw & #shadowpuppetedu but by the end of the week, each kiddo will get to create their own Mabel positional word video in Seesaw!

We may only be a few weeks into @TCRWP Readers Workshop, but these Kinder Readers are already utilizing reading goals! I ❤️ seeing them work on their goals during private reading, but my heart melts when they help their partner work on their goal during partner reading! #tcrwp

Reading levels don’t measure interest or curiosity. Don’t tell me reading is about learning and then don’t allow kids to choose books they are passionately curious about.

It was only Day 2 learning with our iPads and @Logitech crayons, but these amazing Kindergartners used @nearpod for the 1st time to complete our 1st Math Review!! So proud that these little mathematicians were able to expertly integrate technology into our daily math review!❤️

It was a big day in our kindergarten room….we learned how to use our iPads and our @Logitech crayons! We used #doodlebuddy to help us write the letters in our names. Then we wrote numbers & matching sets!

It’s official…I have 🌟 Super Readers 🦸🏽‍♂️🦸🏻‍♀️in my kinder classroom! After beginning @TCRWP Readers Workshop today, these kinder readers discovered all the many many things they can already read! The passion for reading is strong in this room❤️! #TCRWP

I always LOVE this @ConsciousD lesson!! My kinder kids learned about parts of the brains & our big feelings by comparing them to the drivers seat/backseat/trunk of a car! Such a fun way to help them learn how to stay in control of their brains & bodies!❤️

My kindergarten class is full of readers!! 📚 Today we learned how to Private Read @ our own special reading spots during @TCRWP Readers Workshop! These readers already had a reading stamina of 5 whole min…& it’s only the 5th day of school! #TCRWP

Today my writers celebrated becoming Poets! They have worked so hard learning about & creating different kinds of poems-listening to them proudly read their peers’ work and give sweet compliments gave me all the goosebumps! These writers are ready for 1st grade!

My fav day of the year is always Disability Awareness Day! Such a special day filled w/ wheelchair rides, Braille, ASL, blind painting, & a surprise Zoom reader! Most importantly, we discuss kindness & how to embrace our differences! #disabilityawareness @tdfahy @bushbobcats

1 of my FAVORITE @TCRWP Readers Workshop lessons is always Becoming a Copycat Poet! Ss used the rhythm of Brother John & @Seesaw to create their own poem..their sweet voices sang about soccer, chocolate, unicorns, candy & baseball! I literally can’t get enough of this❤️! #tcrwp

Reason # 956 why I LOVE @Seesaw We use Seesaw to display our knowledge to our peers, but most importantly to our families. This allows for families to connect right into our day...so much so that this little sweetie says bye to his mom b/c he knows she’ll be watching him learn!❤️

During our #GSPD2021 Ss used #doodlebuddy #puppetedu @Seesaw to teach their peers how to say color words in their first languages...today we learned Russian, Japanese, & Spanish! #GlobalSchoolPlayDay is for playing...in all different languages!

I thought I loved the book The Jacket I Wear In The Snow before, but after hearing Ss use #doodlebuddy #shadowpuppet @Seesaw to retell the story, I realized I love their little versions even more! Sight words, labeling, vocab, retelling, & sweet voices..my ❤️ is just so full!

After today’s @TCRWP Writers Workshop lesson, my super writers used @Seesaw to practice finding 1 thing they felt really proud of in their writing & 1 goal to work on next. Love that this process teaches my kindergarteners that writers can grow by setting goals! #tcrwp

To wrap up our winter celebration, my kinder students worked in a small group to recreate a Christmas song using #doodlebuddy #puppetedu @Seesaw I can’t get enough of their little caroling voices ❤️

My little coders were ready to create their own mazes today for Day 4 of #HourOfCode Students determined how many arrows they needed, which directions their mazes would follow, & then proudly posted their finished maze on @Seesaw Then they asked if they could code more mazes😍

1 of the best things to come out of this crazy year is the ability to connect digitally on @zoom_us ! 1 of my fav people @tdfahy joined us remotely from Virginia for our Day 3 of #HourOfCode to help us code the gingerbread man to his gingerbread house on @Seesaw
