If enrollment in our schools is only on paper and not in the hearts of people then we are likely still using authority, discipline and extrinsic rewards to move ‘forward’. “It’s more productive to offer directions to someone who has already decided to go on the journey.”

Lots of folks worried that kids have fallen behind due to the pandemic. Anyone worried about how kids have moved ahead in directions we don’t yet value or support appropriately? And also this from @joelwestheimer https://t.co/rz4hSTkxNR

Belonging - like all feelings - is up to the person doing the feeling. You can’t tell someone they belong. They need to feel it and the only way to know if people feel it is to ask. #safeschools #belonging

“I don’t believe it.” is sometimes the right starting point when confronted with a surprising statistical claim. It is a lazy and depressing place to finish. @TimHarford #datadetective

While listening to Let it Be with my daughter today, I told her it is over 50 years old. When I was listing to music at her age, a 50 year old song would have been from the early 1930’s! I Got Rhythm or Minnie the Moocher? #50yearoldsongs @thebeatles

What most of us call history is not absolute truth, but rather someone’s interpretation of events. Until we stop equating history with absolute truth, we will remain in a self-induced state of ignorance and delusion.

Grateful for the @WCLittleES Community. Without community, we are just acquaintances, bystanders and spectators who just happen to share an address. #gratitude #community #scdsbtweets
