This bill is essential as a lack of bussing has a disproportionate impact on students living in poverty. If we believe our schools are the great equalizers, then we have to make sure each child can get there first.
Students who ride a school bus are safer and attend class more often. But school transportation is severely underfunded in CA and therefore underutilized. My #AB2933 has now passed the Asm Edu Cmte. It will fully fund schools for their transportation costs so more kids can ride!
