I never know when to use quotes, but after reading I learned that a good place to insert a quote is when discussing a counter argument. #okie1213

While synthesizing sources is a crucial factor of a well written research paper, inserting yourself into the conversation and being an active participant is just as important. #okie1213

Out of all three approaches, classical seems to be the most effective at getting your point across due to personal experience—you have the opportunity to build your argument over time #okie1213

I need to make sure to remember that a thesis statement should prompt some sort of argument—something that will make readers interested in reading the rest of the paper! #okie1213

A photo infographic seems to be most my speed; the design is typically simple and text is used to describe/explain a topic. Right up my alley #okie1213

It never occurred to me that in some cases, bias could be a good thing; what matters is what the author does with it #okie1213

Organization in an essay is absolutely crucial—unfortunately it is something I still struggle with. A strategy that typically works for me is planning the structure of my essay beforehand in as much detail as possible. #okie1213

I didn’t realize other countries wrote acedemic papers differently—I just assumed the American version was the general one every country used. I would be interested in reading a German or French acedemic paper and comparing it to how we write. #okie1213

I think as writers it can be easy to become consumed by the topic and we tend to forget about common courtesy and proper titles when referring to people #okie1213
