It is so heartbreaking when our platypus are dying from preventable deaths.

Very proud of PhD candidate Katherine (Kat) Warwick and news of her research uncovering PFAS in NSW platypus. This is yet another challenge for this poor animal! https://t.co/uPxqdb8Nab

Scientists are using genetics and citizen science to protect wombats, which are crucial for their environment. 🐾Associate Professor Julie Old from Western Sydney University explains that wombats' burrowing helps other animals and supports plant growth by aerating the soil. 🌱

A reminder to always take your fishing rubbish with you and to never use opera house traps. Too many platypuses have died from this carelessness! @drianwright @michelleryanphd https://t.co/pxm47sYr7W via @ConversationEDU

I've been investigating Bargo River for a decade. Many people have told me that Bargo River has resident Platypus. As part of the Western Sydney University Platypus research by PhD candidate Kat Warwick and Dr Michelle Ryan, I am delighted to confirm this is true.

Watching Bargo River for a decade. An amazing gift of nature. Tahmoor Colliery wastes via Teatree Hollow (add >50% of normal river flow according to EIS) cause substantial pollution (barium, salt, arsenic, zinc, nitrogen etc). Very generous EPA licence! ( https://t.co/VpFTedfcC8)

Explore one of Australia's most heavily polluted sites with SMH's Laura Chung and Brook Mitchell (vivid photos and video). This is Sunny Corner mining area (silver and gold) in NSW. A century after the biggest mines close - pollution remains. https://t.co/KrPOWceC8G

After years of only hearing about it, I finally got my hands on the 5-page bodybuilding forum thread wherein a couple dudes get into a heated argument over how many days there are in a week and I am here to tell you that it is infinitely funnier than I even imagined it would be.
