This one was a journey in the best way possible. I went to Costa Rica to profile @giseleofficial for the April cover of @VanityFair. We talked about heartbreak and having your own dreams and I witnessed her good witchery firsthand.

Never natural on the internet but many things are true: these people came it at a disadvantage, on short notice and were up against inflation, an unpopular incumbent and a magnetic maniac opponent.but also: there is a SEVERE lack of introspection (& tough qs) in this interview.
NEW POD.• @DanPfeiffer sits down with @jomalleydillon, @DavidPlouffe, @QuentinFulks, and @StefCutter to talk about the campaign’s roadmap, the voters they most needed to win over, why they fell short in the end, and what Democrats should do differently next time.

@sethmoulton @nytimes I'd welcome trans girls to any one of her sports teams any day of the week. People are psychotic with youth sports at this point. Children's humanity >>>> your sports team.

@sethmoulton @nytimes I have one little girl who plays sports competitively all-year round. She also has a couple of trans classmates and has since 2nd grade. They cause zero harm to our community whatsoever. She's accepted them without question. Maureen Dowd + @sethmoulton could learn from 10yos.

here's @sethmoulton misgendering trans girls in @nytimes. No idea what Dems are supposed to do now but shitting on children isn't it for me.

I'm disgusted by the way Dems are acting like Diet Trumps, talking about "wokeness" to condemn, for one, trans girls playing girls sports. (thread, if anyone is even still here?).

same except it was Hillary's party at the Javitz Center and I was rather pregnant.
Godspeed to you if you're going to a party (?) to watch tonight, but I had a party in 2016 to watch the results, and the vibe shift that happened was so sudden and horrific that I'll quite simply never do that again in my life.

Interviewing Jenna + learning more about her for this story: I love that she's 21, killing it, and not just shutting up and acting lucky to be here, but knowing her worth and actively seeking power through her career. We're told to that in theory but it's rarely well-received.
From go, then 18-year-old Jenna Ortega wanted to be a producer on ‘Wednesday’—a role she tried, unsuccessfully, to negotiate for season one. “It’s natural to be fearful of signing your life away and wanting some sort of agency or wanting confirmation that your voice would be
