I recursively grew some nice elderflower like fractals in Python turtle. At least I can now say when was the last time I used recursion. Random branch lengths and angles made them look like something from my garden.

Here’s the python script to generate them in matplotlib.

Just generated some Wolfram cellular automata. Starting from a single ‘seed’ cell, simple rules turn it into cool patterns.

I got an inspiration for this while playing with skyfield in Jupyter notebook. Exported star coordinates and magnitudes to JS file and it’s drawn randomly in HTML canvas.
