He’s definitely more suited to be one of the 10’s than midfield imo but his only problem is Cunha and Mbeumo (even Mount when fit) are miles better.

If he were replaced properly, with a GK who could actually save a ball, we wouldn't be having this discourse. But he wasn't. And we got rid of a steady GK who could keep the ball out the net for an absolute disaster who just amplified all the other issues.

The thing about De Gea is that he still had 2-3 decent years left in him even though he was on the decline. But he was declining from being one of the very best in the world. United prioritised a GK even though almost every other area on the pitch was a much bigger problem.

I get why people aren’t happy because United clearly need a midfielder but also it’s kind of pointless. Bruno will play regardless so what would actually change?
